To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}5/JH.18.2.38. CRANKSHAFT TORSIONAL INDICATOR. We have now got the Summers Torsional Indicator EX.27856 as adopted on Phantom III No.12 working quite well and would like to transfer it to Wraith for crankshaft experiments. When adopted for Phantom III the crankshaft had to be specially ground and if possible we should like to avoid this when adopting for Wraith and be able to fit it to any Wraith III or Bentley III without any special work having to be carried out on the unit in question.
