X4117 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. Chas.M.Roberts. 2-TC. BJ6/E16/9/26 To BJ. from BJ. (struck through) The following are extracts from a letter received from Mr.Charles M.Roberts, owner of 2-TC. This information is only forwarded with a view to giving you some idea of what customers say of our cars. This customer, otherwise, is generally satisfied. 'I have just returned from a trip of nearly 3000 miles on the Continent, passing through Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France. 'I have driven many cars, but this is my first experience of a Rolls, and as I had only taken delivery a short time before setting out (sufficiently long to replace the engine oil once according to instructions) I was rather appalled by your instruction book. Being my own driver, I anticipated spending a great part of the holiday in greasing up. ............ 'With regard to greasing, I did not find this so formidable as I anticipated, after adopting the method you suggested by letter, viz, leaving everything for 1000 miles, though some of the greasers at the back of the car are horribly inaccessible for a modern car, in fact, the only way a man of my build could reach them at all was to remove the back wheels, which I had to do each time. I am not able to get under the car.' BJ. | ||
