WHEN REPLYING PLEASE REFER TO X/BGC/17. Messrs Rolls-Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, DERBY. 19th May 1941. For the attention of Mr. Child. Dear Sirs, We have pleasure in confirming our telephonic conversation following your recent visit to our works in connection with the various items which were discussed relative to post-war development. As intimated, we have already despatched the Dynamo, Starter Motor and Switch Box which you require together with the Adaptor Plate and fittings which are required in connection with the Starter. We have since received your official order No. 46467 for these parts, and in addition note that you also require a Switch Box of the C.A.V. 47A type which was referred to during your visit, and also a regulator and cutout unit to suit the dynamo in question. These have been put in hand, and will be despatched to you in the course of the next few days. We regret that we have not an Ignition Reversing Switch available of the type which you require, but in accordance with your request we are sending one of our standard PLC Switch Boxes which we think will give you the connections you require to make your experiments possible. In regard to the Distributor, we have looked into the question of the assembly of the first sample which was sent to you, and it would now appear that the lubricator was not in the position shown in your drawing Continued..... | ||
