Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. West.
Stelmar Fog and Anti-Dazzle Lamp.

With reference to the Fog and Anti-Dazzle Lamp which Mr. Tresilian left with Mr. West for trial on January 9th last, we fear that you have had no chance of testing this lamp out in fog, although you will no doubt have realised by now the complete cut-off which the lamp gives and, therefore, its suitability as an anti-dazzle light.

Unfortunately, however, there has been no fog since we left the lamp with you in which it could be really tested out by you. We, therefore, hope that you will retain the lamp until such time as you do get a fog if indeed it is not too late in the season.

We are enclosing herewith an article which appeared in "The Birmingham Post" on February 8th which may be of interest to you.

We have demonstrated this lamp as a non-dazzle lamp to the Ministry of Transport but, unfortunately, we have had no fog which would enable us to demonstrate its fog-penetrating propensities.

Yours faithfully,
for BANTING & TRESILIAN, LIMITED.

AST/DMW.
