New and replacement parts for the Side Steering Tube on the 40/50 HP chassis.

40/50 HP. CHASSIS.

SIDE STEERING TUBE SEC:7070.

(IN ACCORDANCE WITH "N" SCHEME 2258).

Please receive herewith two Blue Prints of each of the following:-

F.75673 Spring for Side Steering Tube. 4 off per chassis.
F.75795 Side Steering Tube. 1 " " "
F.75796 Ball Pad. 4 " " "
F.75797 Ball Pad. 2 " " "
F.75798 Inner Plug. 2 " " "
F.75799 Outer Plug. 2 " " "

Kindly instruct for 1 set of each of the above to be produced and fitted to Experimental Chassis, noting that 12 Springs F.75673 have been ordered from Messrs. Salters. (See memo BY/CghR/H.1.10.26) after examination of the sample Spring they prepared.

Furthermore it should be noted that Ball Pad F.75796 embodies an Oil Groove on the top side of the Spherical Seat, and is to be tried as an alternative to Ball Pad F.75797 which has a plain seat.

The above new parts replace the following Standard Parts:-

F.4614 Spring for Side Steering Tube. 4 off per chassis.
F.74816 Side Steering Tube. 1 " " "
F.{Mr Friese} 4969 Ball Pad. 4 " " "
F.{Mr Friese} 4967 Inner Plug. 2 " " "
F.{Mr Friese} 4968 Outer Plug. 2 " " "

The remaining parts should be produced in accordance with L.O.P. F.72514.
