Coil No 4164 ex repair chassis
We have now examined this coil and found the fault to be due to discontinuity of the secondary winding.
This was confirmed by unwinding the coil which revealed the fact that the primary to secondary connection had broken and considerable burning in the vicinity of the break had occurred.
The coil core etc is handed to you herewith for return to Mr Gamble so that he can rewind the coil.
The other two coils are being retained for experimental investigations.
Signed H.E.W.
This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work.
