1293 Experimental Department 8th February 1937. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les.6/AP. Messrs Armstrong's Patents Co.Ltd., Eastgate, Beverley, YORKS: For the attention of Mr. Boggs. Dear Sir, Thank you for your letter of the 5th inst. together with the drawing for the cam operation for the valve. This drawing appears to be correct. You will no doubt remember to put a pipe from the valve damping disc to the reservoir. I am sending you a print of our valve parts RR.Scheme No.469 which will show you that we have a .050" radius on the valve seat. I am arranging for the two dampers which you are now assembling with cranked levers to go onto a complete car. These we shall test chiefly from a noise point of view. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
