Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 8th instant and are pleased to confirm that we are arranging to put a pipe from the valve damping disc to the reservoir. We are also arranging to include the .050" radius as shown on print No. 469. We have to-day despatched one pair of Shock Absorbers as per enclosed advice note C.5639. We regret that we were unable to despatch these yesterday but this is due to the fact that we were not able to obtain material suitable for local hardening and we have been obliged, therefore, under the circumstances, to send a standard spindle material unhardened, but in view of the fact that these Shock Absorbers are being tested purely from a noise point of view this will not give any detriment. We are still without any definite information regarding the castings but they have promised to despatch one pair to-day and one pair to-morrow so that with any luck we should be able to despatch the complete set of Bellows type Shock Absorbers towards the end of next week.
