For the attention of A.R.Smith Esq.

Dear Sirs,

We are again writing to ask you for your assistance in connection with Bakelite timing gears.

We notice that on one of your gears you use a die cast aluminium centre. We are at present thinking of using similar centres ourselves but have wondered whether the greater contraction of the aluminium from moulding temperature leads to a less secure bonding, between the bakelite gear and the centre.

We should be grateful if you could let us know whether you ever experienced trouble from this cause.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
