Dear Sirs:
Attention: Mr F J Hardy

Reference your query of the 24th instant concerning Bakelite timing gears; the gear with aluminium die cast centre to which you refer is used on our 4-cylinder engined trucks. The gear is moulded to the centre under pressure and we have received no complaints of service or moulding trouble since the design of centre (as per sample) has been adopted.

Our passenger models are fitted with a steel centred fabric gear.

Yours faithfully,
FORD MOTOR COMPANY LIMITED
