Yesterday I spent a very interesting time with De Ram being shown the De Ram shock-damper. This is composed of the most elaborate and beautifully machined parts unimaginable. The parts would make R.H.P. eyes water. All the load of this damper is by friction, but the load pushing the friction discs together is hydraulic.
