To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X8430 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/LG13.12.27. .900 LEAD WORM. X8430 In order to enable a shorter pendulum lever to be used for experimental tests with this worm and nut, the D.O. are instructing a shorter nut experimentally to give more clearance to the box. We should like these shorter nuts to be made quite separately and not to interfere with any of the existing nuts which have been made with this lead, so that we can get a careful experimental comparison as to whether the difference in length affects the nut efficiency.
