S.U. TWIN PETROL PUMP.

(1) The contact points on the above pumps are badly out of alignment and after very little time will corrode and burn away on one edge. I have shewn Mr.Elliott this and he is writing the S.U. Co. re same.

(2) A large percentage of the noise created by the pumps is due to the fact that on the return of the toggle mechanism the brass bridge piece strikes hard against the Bakelite end piece; this is acting as a sound plate. The noise can be stopped by putting slight pressure on the plate.

The portion which the bridge piece strikes is in no way supported, having mentioned this to Mr.Elliott, he suggests that the S.U. Co. fit a stud through the end piece into the body.
