X6092 On chassis 19-EX it was decided at the last minute that instead of fitting the Bosch regulated dynamo for a test of a regulated system on our chassis we should fit a plain shunt R.R. dynamo/in conjunction with a known good type of regulator. running In order to save time we took one of our machines which had concentrically ground poles, and had the control bush removed and the field winding rewound with 21 SWG wire. The regulator we tested with this dynamo was the C.A.V. type B2. This is a good regulator and superior we consider in many ways from an electrical point of View, to the Bosch. For further work on regulators we should like instructed an otherwise standard 20/25 dynamo with concentric poles, with the third brush deleted, and with a 22 SWG field winding. We feel the 20HP size of dynamo is the one we should carry out further regulator tests with in view of J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} S. and Peregrine. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
