20-30 H.P. CLASS.

Gearbox complete with change speed.
Bentley 90 lbs. 6 ozs. S.S. 89 lbs. 7 1/8 ozs. Oldsmobile 63lbs.
Bentley-Aluminium case, four speed, synchro 2nd., 3rd. and 4th.
S.S. -Cast iron case four speed, synchro 2nd., 3rd. and 4th.
Oldsmobile - Cast iron case three speed, synchro 2nd. and 3rd.

Engine and Clutch complete.
Bentley 631 lbs. 12 ozs. S.S. 603 lbs. 7 1/8 ozs. Olds. 619lbs. 15ozs.
Bentley - O.H.V. push-rod. Alum crankcase, cast iron block.
S.S. - O.H.V. cast iron, monobloc.
Oldsmobile - S.V. cast iron monobloc.

Some reasons why, despite the use of an aluminium crankcase, the Bentley engine is the heaviest, are the flywheel weight of 50 lbs. as opposed to 25.5 on the Olds. Engine electrical system 63lbs. 4 1/4 ozs. as opposed to 51.45 lbs. on the Olds. Lower half crankcase 25 lbs. as opposed to 7.97 on the Olds.
