He will not accept a chassis with a filter in this position again. Incidentally, this is a matter I am bringing up at the next Chassis Conference at W. on the 10th inst.

Mr. Jobson also requires the dashboard warning lights covering fuel and ignition to be of plain coloured glass and not have any words like 'fuel' and 'ign' printed on them. His contention is that the wording tends to diminish the effectiveness of the light so that in bright sunlight they are often not noticed. In his letter he says he recommends that the glass be of the type which is used on Lanchester, Daimler and Singer cars.

The cost of this changeover to us is considerable, but the damage would have been greater had Mr. Jobson been allowed to leave us and tell all his friends that he had done so because he is fed up with the unreliability of our cars.

Nevertheless we have had to agree in respect of the new chassis that if it develops any mechanical faults within six months of its being delivered to him he is to have his money back.

I therefore feel it is important you should know these facts, and that very special care should be taken over the testing of his chassis to ensure that as far as is humanly possible he shall be free from troubles after delivery.
