For the attention of Mr. Robotham.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of October 4th, referring to drawings of the servo spring which reduces clutch pedal pressure and on which you have carried out satisfactory tests. The drawings have now been received.

With regard to the synchro-mesh cones showing the fine screw thread which you employ to facilitate bedding, we have to date not received these parts.

With regard to the die cast crankcase, we have to inform you that we have not gone far enough with the design of the die to let you have further details, but as soon as we do we will let you have more information.

Referring again to the clutch servo spring, we are very interested in this design and propose to manufacture a set of parts which will be suitable for one of our own buses.

We would also take this opportunity of acknowledging your letter of the 7th, addressed for the attention of Mr. Spurrier Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner}, under cover of which you have forwarded the clutch details.

Yours faithfully,
p.p. LEYLAND MOTORS LIMITED.
M Pilkington
Chief Engineer.
