Contd. -2-

Up tot this point (1650 R.P.M.) the ampere output speed curve should lie completely above that given by the following figures, the dynamo operating terminal voltage being adjusted to be within ± .1 of the figure indicated by this table for each value of the ampere output.

Minimum Specified Performance in fully hot condition.

Speed. Operating Voltage Limit ±.1 Ampere output. Corresponding approx. miles per hour Drive ratio = 1.5

600 14.0 0 10.5
650 15.0 2.55 11.5
700 15.9 5.0 12.0
750 16.35 6.5 13.0
850 16.9 8.5 15.0
1000 17.3 10.0 17.5
1250 17.5 11.0 22.0
1650 17.3 10.0 29.0

(4) It is expected that the weight of the dynamo inclusive of pulley, but exclusive of suspension, will not exceed 35 lbs. and that the dynamo be perfectly electro-magnetically silent at all speeds and outputs, and that the carcase diameter will not exceed 6".

EFC.

+ Note:- Car miles per hour at 600 r.p.m. of dynamo and 1.5 drive ratio is 10.5
