X4117 EF. C. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} " G.J. PN{Mr Northey}7/DW/20.4.20. I have seen Lord Rocksavage, who has now returned from France with his car, and he desires that his chassis shall now be made standard, and various odd jobs done to it which may be necessary of a like nature, as soon as possible in order that the body, which is waiting at George Offord's, can be fitted. Lord Rocksavage states that there is a sort of groaning noise emanating from the gear box at about 15 miles an hour. He appears well pleased with the effect of the shock absorbers on the general riding of the car during its way through the South of France; his chauffeur will drive the car up to Derby on Thursday, the 22nd inst., and I shall be glad to discuss points arising out of its behaviour with you when I come to Derby on the 28th and 29th. I have arranged with Lord Rocksavage that when his car is finished by you, and tuned up to the most effective point, he and I will meet at Derby and put the car through some road tests with you. He has also some of the latest placards which we will try. P.N.GW. RECEIVED [STAMP: SN{Mr Sanderson} APR 20 1920] | ||
