Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 18th inst. with regard to our complaint of vents on a customer's battery. In accordance with your request we are taking steps to return this battery to you. It will be returned in a dry condition partially discharged, with the acid electrolyte replaced with distilled water.

V4077 With regard to your last paragraph, we have experiments in progress on an automatic device for reducing the charging rate at suitable times.
