Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Attention Mr.A.F.Martindale

Dear Sirs,

Many thanks for your letter of the 5th inst enclosing your drawing N.Sch.5178 which will give us the information we require.

We note that Mr.Robotham is away from the Works and has not made a decision regarding the purchase of these brakes. As the writer understood at the time that you were in rather a hurry for these brakes, he gave instructions that they should be proceeded with. The price quoted to you was purely nominal and does not represent the cost of an experiment of this nature, as you are well aware.

We still propose to proceed with the completion of these brakes but agree that until we receive your order, you are under no obligation to take them.

Yours faithfully,

BENDIX LIMITED

J.S.IRVING
Joint General Manager.
