Dear Sirs,

We think it best to advise you of a recent trouble which has arisen with regard to the special dials made by Mr.Willis for the three 40/50 h.p. instruments which you are altering at your works, and also the dial for the 20 h.p. set for Mr. Royce's car.

These were specified to be black markings on cream finish, and until we received them this morning from Willis, we did not realise that they were a hard enamelled finish, and cannot be drilled by us at any rate, on completion

You will recollect that these dials for the patch instrument arrangement have to be fixed to the body by means of four screws, and thus require drilling when
