Referring to our telephone conversation, we would advise you that we are to-day despatching Clutch Linings for a Series 40 Buick. We give below the dimensions of the linings which we are forwarding, as against those which are now fitted:- Series 40 Linings. Outside Diameter .. 9½" Facing thickness .. .130-.136" Total frictional area facing ...... 79.13 sq. inches. Linings Despatched. Outside Diameter ... 9½" Facing thickness ... .135" Total frictional area facing ........ 80.4. sq inches. We feel sure that these Linings will be suitable, and trust you will not experience any difficulty. Regarding the 3/8" Nut which you require, we are only able to supply these in 5/16" thick at the moment, but this difficulty you will also no doubt be able to overcome. Should there be anything further which we can do for you, if you will communicate with us, we shall be pleased to give this matter our immediate attention.
