X1332 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/KW. 20th May, 1936. A.{Mr Adams} Healey, Esq., The Dunlop Rubber Co.Ltd., Fort Dunlop, Erdington, Birmingham. Dear Healey, Confirming our telephone conversation. We find that the latest pattern Phantom III tyre groans badly after about 1,000 miles' running on Continental roads. This in our experience is a characteristic of all tyres, but in view of the original silence of the S.O.6529 tread, we were rather disappointed to find that it became so bad. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
