UNIVERSAL JOINTS. X9340

We have examined the wooden model and it appears to be satisfactory from the point of view of assembling, and from the appearance of the strength of the pieces. We should like a little more angular motion on the driven member. This can be obtained by putting an increased radius in the bearing housing on the driver. If any more than this is required we will consider slightly deepening the fork in the driven member, but we believe it will not be necessary.

We believe you have all information necessary to construct these forks for EAC.1. and in a day or so we shall tell you whether there is any modification in the dia. of the propeller shaft for EAC.1V. The original of N.scheme 1442. which we have held in case any extensive modifications were required we shall also return to you in the course of a day or so.

Written before EAC.11. programme was launched. We shall not touch EAC.1. for at least a week now.
