Dear Sirs, Referring to your letter of the 29th.ultimo respecting the special 7 m/m.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} wire on your esteemed order No.22086, we beg to confirm our telegram of this morning reading:- "Order 22086 sending 46 yards immediately explanation follows." Most unfortunately we have had a mishap during manufacture which has resulted in part of the cable being damaged; we have been able to retrieve a part, but of the lengths available the longest is 46 yards, which we have sent forward today. We sincerely trust this length will be of some service to you and if any still shorter lengths can be utilized we shall be pleased to hear from you accordingly. Meanwhile, we are again examining the position and will write you again in a few posts.
