Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} RHO. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} E/Lidg. SN.{Mr Sanderson} re Bentley Dashboard. Referring to memo RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/AEM.1/JS.{Mr Johnson's Secretary}14.11.36, we fear that the proposed method of holding the rubber may lead to it bulging out in between the fixings. Actually we are very anxious to get rid of this rubber altogether, and with this in view instructed some considerable time ago Ferodo bonnet rests as used on the R.R. chassis. So far as we are aware this latter scheme completed a 10,000 miles test some time ago. We should be glad if a report could be issued on the Ferodo rest scheme, with a view to standardization, and in the meantime we are investigating the cost figures. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
