Rolls-Royce Ltd, DERBY. Your Ref. -- Our Ref. Radio/G.R. For the attention of Mr. Fowler Clark. Dear Mr. Fowler Clark, I thank you for your letter of the 10th inst., from which I fully understand the general position. We have certainly had some complaints from time to time with regard to sticking of the movement of our small instruments, not due to any mechanical defect but to the presence of some speck of foreign matter in the magnet gap. Every care is now being taken to avoid troubles of this kind as far as is humanly possible, and very probably we shall arrange to test these instruments in the near future in a special dust-proof room, as the matter is under consideration at the present time. With kindest regards, Yours faithfully, | ||
