RE SMITH CUT-OUT.

Would you kindly note that Mr. Royce remarks re the Smith cut-out, as follows:-

"The Smith cut-out as it stands will not suit our distribution board. Would Mr. Clark find out whether in the cut-out, which is essentially a voltmeter, it is advisable to wind the magnet with copper and have an external resistance made of metal, the resistance of which does not change with temperature.
Would Mr. Clark also find the temperature rise of the Smith and Lucas cut-outs, and temperature co-efficient, also the voltage variation, that is, the variation of revolutions at the time of cutting in. Also if the contact points on the Smith cut-out are platinum and whether platinum points are needed."
