X.2676. - 12-VOLT CAR LIGHTING & STARTING LUCAS BATTERY.

This battery was sent to us from Messrs. Lucas the end of October 1916, in a charged condition, and stood until the end of Aug.1917, as it was not known to have been filled with acid and charged.

During the last week of Aug.1917, it was charged up fully, acid was renewed, and battery recharged. A discharge test was taken with the following result:-

The Battery gave 7.3 amps. for 8.1 hours before voltage had dropped to 10.5, i.e. a capacity of nearly 60 ampere - hours.

It was charged again and re discharged, when it gave:-
8.15 amps for 6.5 hours or 53 ampere hours.

The battery will be used on Starter Motor Brush Tests
