EFC3/T161017. X.2676 16th October 1917. Messrs. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Lucas Ltd., Great King Street. Birmingham. Dear Sirs, Re Special Dynamo for our Post-War Chassis. With reference to the above Dynamo which you have recently sent to us, we regret to say that we have not one of your latest type switchboxes containing the cut-out for use with this dynamo. We have an old type switchbox containing Main Switch, Head Lamp Switch, Side Lamp Switch, Cut-out, Main Fuse, Spare Fuses and six Terminals, but no ammeter or volt meter. This is marked E.60. Would you kindly let us know if this would be suitable for our experimental test of this dynamo. If not, perhaps you could send us one of your latest type switchboxes suitable for use with thisdynamo. Perhaps you would also send us a diagram of connections. With reference to the starter battery which you sent to us, and about which you enquired on April 24th last, it was not realised at first that this was sent to us in a charged condition. Without noticing that the battery contained acid it was put in our Stores and remained for about 12 months. On discovering that Contd. | ||
