CRY-fmTH Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/HP.24.12.36. Phantom III Transmission Shaft. We wish to add a ring of metal to the rear portion of the clutch transmission shaft for the purposes of balancing. It is shewn on the attached sketch. We considered adding it close up to the rear flange, but this has the disadvantage that it must be milled away in three places to clear the nuts on the universal joints, and this modifies the effect of any drilling (according to whether it occurs on the milled or the circular parts,) and also somewhat increases the machining cost. We have, therefore, shewn it as a circular ring in the centre of the length of this part of the transmission shaft. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
