Dimensions and lubrication for a post carrying the make and break lever for a 20/25 battery ignition system.

We should like to know if anything has been done in connection with the modification to lubricate the post carrying the make and break lever. You will remember that we inspected the design and agreed that the thickness of the tubular post was insufficient for a hardened piece. Subsequently I obtained dimension of the post that was run on the 20/25 during the last 10,000 miles test, and also the dia. of the felt used in the BTH. magneto. The latter is .093 and the same size of felt was used on the RR experimental pin of .156 external diameter. These sizes appear to make satisfactory job. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
