MINCHIN WILLIAM PETO C.R.D. PRITCHETT T.W. PRITCHETT YOUR REF_________ OUR REF M {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /5. 26th May 1925. Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., DERBY. For the attention of Mr. Fowler-Clark. Dear Sirs, With reference to our correspondence re ebonite separation, our Works have had a long correspondence with Suppliers and whilst we are agreed that the .6 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m stuff would be the best and very desirable the only .6 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m material we can get is not nearly so well perforated as that which we have been using and we are afraid it would put up internal resistance of the cell. One or two of the ebonite Suppliers say that if we are prepared to pay for the cost of the punching tools they will make it so that they can punch .6 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m material with the same number of holes as the .4 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m but this would mean our having to charge for it. Are you willing to consider an increased price or would you prefer to go on as you are? If you are interested we can send you a sample of the .6 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m material that we can obtain from stock and you will note how very much more robust it is. Yours faithfully, PETO & RADFORD. G.R.N. Minchin | ||
