In addition to the modifications previously enumerated it had fitted to it a scheme for preventing the rattling of the synchromesh dogs when letting in the clutch. This of course is the feature which caused most of the complaints on Bentley clutches. Actually this device appeared to be a cure but it is necessary to fit it to another car before being able to form an accurate opinion as to its merits. With regard to brake lining, the car had a material which we hope will retain the merits of the FB4A material and on the other hand wear considerably better.
