Gentlemen:

We desire to bring to your notice the STROBOSCOPIC TACHOMETER, as per enclosed leaflet, which for many years past we have been supplying to the textile and engineering trades. This compact and portable instrument is electronically operated, and is guaranteed to be accurate to 1%, and will produce an apparent slowing-down of objects moving at between 500 and 14000 r.p.m. Gearing and chains can also be readily observed at much lower speeds.

To the Manufacturers of Engines the uses of this Instrument are manifold., for example: during the various process of manufacture in the Machine Shops, and on the Test Beds, where the valve gears etc. of engines undergoing test can be clearly observed.

The price of the Instrument is Twentyfive pounds nett, delivered free, and we can deliver in a few weeks. We should be pleased to send you an instrument for a few days' trial, and hope to have the pleasure of hearing from you.

Yours truly,
John T. Murray
