Peregrine.
----------

The Peregrine has a very impressive performance on the road, although at the moment the power falls away somewhat at low speeds, a matter which can be improved with perhaps some sacrifice of maximum output.

The importance of low speed pulling on top however is minimised by the easy change to third gear, and the great capacity of this engine for "revving".

The engine is very smooth on its mounting, and the car is quite pleasant to drive in third gear. It is likely to be used on this gear quite a lot, particularly as it will run up to over 60 m.p.h. on this ratio.

The speed on 2nd gear is 40 m.p.h. corresponding to 5000 r.p.m. of the engine.

The weight of the car complete is 27.5 cwts.

The engine is very free from detonation and is fitted with an intermediate form of improved head, having miniature plugs with complete water circulation around plug bosses.

The compression ratio is about 5.8 and could be higher with advantage.

The final form of head for this engine with sparking plugs lifted above the induction pipe, and six separate exhaust ports is just about to be issued to the Pattern Shop.

The general appearance of Peregrine is very good, and the only thing lacking at the moment to complete
