LODGE X.202 SPARKING PLUGS.

In connection with the proposal to replace the Lodge A.40 by a plug which will run slightly hotter for Service conditions, we have had a set of Lodge X.202 plugs running on the Meccano Hangar for fifty hours. During this period these plugs have been very satisfactory.

The X.202 compares favourably with the K.L.G. F.12 as regards slow running - this is an improvement on Lodge A.40's.

The X.202 gives better results on single ignition than A.40s or F 12s.

We ran X.202 plugs in our recent "H" engine Type Test on "H" MS.13. The complete set of plugs were reported to be in perfect condition at the end of the test. This, in all, covered 112 hours running.

We anticipate satisfactory results from these plugs when used under service conditions. We propose sending a set for test in an "H" engine at Martlesham and to supply another set with the engine for evaporative cooling tests in the Hawker "Hart".
