-2- With reference to bottom gear tooth failures, we recommend that you compare the life of a bottom gear which has been run in on Wakefield's Hi-press and then subjected to endurance with a gearbox which has been run in on ordinary oils. We shall be glad to see you over here any time you like to come and discuss crankshafts further if you get any results. Incidentally, it might interest you to know that we found that the old 8-litre engine which was produced before we took over the Company used to have crankshaft torsional failures which took place right across the web. Yours sincerely, | ||
