4-B-IV - 15,000 Miles Car.

Referring to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}7/E.3.1.35, the items mentioned in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/KW.26.7.34. which have been standardised are as follows :-

(1) Sheet metal floorboards, LeC.3781-3707-3690/1.
(2) Dropped front cross member, Sch.614.
(3) Revised position of battery cross member to improve body accommodation, EVS.116.
(4) Governor controlled dampers.
(5) Strengthened type front axle, with 3-bolt pivot flange. N.S.3958-4000-4009.
(6) Propellor shaft damper to overcome rattles in the transmission, N.S.3911.
(8) Improved front and rear brake adjustment. New wing nut and locking piece.
(9) Improved rear axle pinion thrust race.
(11) Front exhaust expansion box made in Staybrite and lagged to reduce existing tinniness at low speeds. Intermediate pipe lengthened 1.00" owing to revised position of battery cross member.
(12) Rubber mounting of rear of engine, cut-out mechanism modified to suit. LeC.3909-3937.
(13) Unbalanced radiator shutters to prevent these being closed by wind pressure. LeC.3798-3807.
(14) 58 m.m. Harrison Radiator.
(17) Front Road springs with improved clips to prevent top leaf collapsing under braking torque.
(18) Scheme for preventing rattling of synchromesh dogs when clutch is engaged.
(19) Modifications to enable fan belt to be removed.
