For Files. X106. 25.8.32. PEREGRINE BRAKES & SERVO. Attached are the calculations for the braking ratios on the first Peregrine chassis built up to RR. Sch.192. Test bed results show that the servo multiplication of torque is not the same to front and rear being greater to the front in the ratio of 2.58 to 2.18. This means that 55% of the braking is on the front wheels. The front brake equaliser liners were then increased in length from 1.625 to 2.500 reducing the amount of front braking to 196S. The % of front braking therefore becomes 196S₁ / (220 plus 196S₁ plus 193S₂) which for S₁ = 2.58 S₂ = 2.18 equals 44%. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Grylls. 2 Prints Att: | ||
