I enclose copy of memo. I sent to the Works yesterday, which I had intended to address to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}

I am not certain whether this memo. is clear as to exactly what we are trying to get at.

I do not know whether the above chassis is already fitted with the slightly dented tube or whether it has the tube with no dents. If it should happen that it is fitted with the slightly dented tube, do you consider this is sufficient to keep Mr.Cochrane out of any boiling trouble, bearing in mind that he is a fast driver?

If not, what we intended was that we should go as far as to give him one of the experimental types of radiator, with the very much dented tube; and, in fact, anything you know of that will tend to prevent his again experiencing this particular trouble.
