LONDON N.W. 10.

Dear Mr. Ward,

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} has been asking me about retrimming Mr. Lappin's car.

I believe that you have the material for the job. If you remember, Mr. Hewett paid a visit to Rexine and brought back samples of what they had in stock, and also Messrs. Connolly, and I am under the impression that the material was selected and that you obtained what was required for the job. Now the problem is how to get it done. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} suggested that you might send a trimmer here, but I explained that we had no facilities in the way of sewing machines etc., The only possible way would be if you had patterns and could get the parts made up at your Works, and then send a trimmer here to fix them into the body.

The rear cushion you will probably be able to change, but I am wondering how you would be placed regarding the front seats, as I rather think these are special. Perhaps you will let me know how you think the matter could be dealt with.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} would also like you to come down here. He suggests that if there is any difficulty in getting here by train, you might drive down with Mr. Lappin, who comes on Monday and goes back to Town on Tuesday.

The main subject he wants you to come about, as I think you know, is the Myth body. Another point that was raised is the weight of the luggage flap on Mr. Lappin's car. He is under the impression that this is made specially light for this particular car. I told him I thought it was the same as the flaps that will be fitted to the production B,V bodies. Perhaps you will let me know and, if it is special, tell me what change has been made.

In addition to the Myth body, there are other points such as sliding roofs, door locks, etc., which have to be discussed.

We have found, about a week ago, that the rear tunnel on 9.B.V. had collapsed, so that it was bearing on the transmission. It was necessary
