RE GOSHAWK I - PETROL TANK.

With reference to the question of fitting a Simms Petrol Level Gauge to this tank temporarily, until the R.R. gauge is ready, we send herewith three blue prints of "N" Scheme 849. This drawing was being done by Mr Hardy who is now going to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town, and therefore we send it on to you in a somewhat unfinished state. It is intended that the bottom cover for this particular case should be made of brazed copper tube, the tube itself being beaten out to make the top flange.

We hope that the information given will be sufficient to enable you to instruct this, and that if anything further is required you can follow your own ideas.
