E.Z.L. X4622 9-10-29 J.D.32. X4622 Re Testing of Std Elliott Ammeter on overload with 30SWG fuse. A Std chassis Elliott Ammeter type M.R. was obtained from stock & also the wires in the ammeter & Klaxon circuit were obtained. The ammeter was first tested with a Std box instrument & was found to read correct on both sides of the scale, & was perfect in every way. The whole were connected in series with a Std P&R RRNII Battery with a 30SWG fuse in the circuit using a Standard Distribution Board fuse holder. A variable resistance was used to control the current, this being adjusted to blow the fuse reasonably quickly (2 secs) at approx. 40 amperes. This was repeated in each direction of the scale, after which the instrument (contd) | ||
