K719 Expl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Tsn.1/MJ. Dec.30th.1929. Messrs. Ferodo Ltd., Sovereign Mills, Chapel-en-le-Frith. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. Field. With regard to the driven clutch plate you are making for us with cork beneath the fabric, as requested in our Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Tsn8/AD.1.11.29. We find that the moulded material you use on the two plates that you have already sent us, wears far too rapidly. We had to adjust the position of the clutch pedal almost every day. When you build up the plate with cork, please therefore use ordinary Ferodo rings as used in our std. car clutches. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
