X4209 RE. KNOCK ON CAR DUE TO REAR SPRINGS ON AXLE ROLLERS.
--------
Further to our EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}8/F1.3.21 re the above, we learn that these wearing plates are being fitted earlier than we were notified in your BY7-F9.12.20, and that arrangements have been made for these plates to be put on about the middle of "O" Series.

The chief points for your consideration, by Committee therefore, are :-

1. Whether we are to fit these to all/further cars prior to delivery.

2. Whether we shall consider the question of fitting these wearing plates retrospectively on cars already delivered, either all cars or certain cars only.
