clutch. As I have previously reported one cannot bang the gears about with the plate clutch and it has never been entirely free from "jaggering" effect and after rough usage the grabbing effect on finally engaging is noticeable.
This is with the material which we have found has been most satisfactory.
Mr Royce's point about the plate working loose in the grooves when under load, seems to be confirmed by the fact that the grooves are dinged at the end next to the gear box and not next the the flywheel.
