To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} -2- N10/C15/11/19 Contd. through my suggesting that the cells should be separate. If this is so, we might abandon this particular requirement for the time being. By Wednesday next I hope to hear that Mr. Clark has been able to place an order for some batteries that will go within the dimensions available, without the excessive depth, and which will have at least three-quarters of the ampere hour capacity. It will be understood that they must be capable of bearing the rate of charge and discharge necessary to maintain the lights, and provide current for the starter, and use the whole of the available current from the dynamo without raising the voltage excessively through internal resistance.
