Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/HL.10.4.40.

The levers on 33.G.6. would then be tested and if satisfactory, be replaced on 4.B.50.

If any other castings were available these would be tested to a stress of 12 tons per sq. in. If any pass this test they are to be machined as quickly as possible.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/PJH suggested that we should rectify the existing levers by heat treatment and this will be investigated. The alternative would be to get some more castings in malleable iron.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} would like to know how the figures we should expect to get on malleable iron would compare with the physical properties of the cast steel which has failed.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Clm.{D. D. Clapham} will follow up the aluminium torque arm and get it tested.

LOW SPEED WOBBLES.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD{Frank Dodd - Bodies} pointed out that 3.B.50 was low speed wobbling. He's car gave the same trouble and 30.G.7. also suffered from the same complaint. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} emphasized that this was not a new problem and that it had been with us ever since we had made motor cars and also that there were various ways of curing it. It was agreed that Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/PJH should carry out an investigation to find out what was to be done to prevent 3.B.50 wobbling with worn tyres. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} pointed out that 9.B.Y. did not wobble and Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/PJH said that was because it had not much backward pivot lean.

RADIATORS, FANS AND WATER PUMPS.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Col. will make sure that when a narrow matrix is required Morrie's cannot do better than Marsden's. Col. will issue a report on the cost and weight of fixed shutters against movable shutters.

BONNETS. 9.B.Y.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Col. reported that he had Amal bonnet fasteners fitted up on one side of the 9.B.V. and wing nuts on the other side. The Amal bonnet fastener was stated to be difficult
